Consular Processing

Consular Processing provides an opportunity for individuals with approved Immigrant Petitions to proceed with permanent residence while living abroad.  In both family and employment based cases, obtaining an Immigrant Visa through Consular Processing requires an approved immigrant petition and an available visa number after which, the foreign national can apply for an Immigrant Visa through a U.S. Consulate.  This may provide an excellent alternative to the Adjustment of Status process which requires the individual to be physically present in the United States at the time of filing.

The attorneys at the Bae Law Group have in-depth experience in both family and employment-based Consular Processing.  We assess whether Consular Processing provides the best option for those individuals concerned about overseas work assignments or other issues which require them to be abroad.  We understand the travel needs of our clients, which are increasingly common and complex in our global-focused economy.
