Our Logo

The Yin Yang

Two outer curves of our logo represent the Taoist symbol for the Yin Yang.  The Yin is the downward-seeking element which corresponds to the night and a passive state of being. The Yang is the upward seeking-element which corresponds to the day and an active state. Although seemingly opposing, each element thrives through the existence of the other. Domination of either the Yin or the Yang results in disharmony and a unbalanced state of being.

Harmony

In many ways, the role of the attorney is to keep balance between two elements, the interest in the country in upholding the law and the client interest.  In this metaphore, the law is Yin, the downward element which must protect the nation’s interest.  Our clients are Yang, the upward seeking element and require the assistance of attorneys to actively advocate their interest.  Despite being a nation of immigrants, our immigration laws create a labyrinth through which clients cannot navitage on their own.  Our firm seeks to create balance between the success of the client with the repect for the laws of our country.

The Client

The simple oval at the center of our logo symbolizes a head and each of our clients as individuals.  Our office puts the client at the center of our efforts and we recognize that each client is unique and appreciate them as individuals.  If one visualizes the removal of the Yin, the logo would reveal the image of a person with arms extended victoriously.  We strive to celebrate the successes of our clients and see all our clients victorious.
