H-3 Corporate Trainees

H-3 Corporate Trainee

The H-3 visa applies to people coming temporarily to the United States to participate in a training program. The petitioning employer or sponsor must demonstrate that (1) the proposed training is not available in the person's home country, (2) the individual will not be placed in a position which is in the normal operation of the business, and in which citizens and resident alien workers are regularly employed, (3) the individual will not be productively employed except as incidental to training, and (4) the training will benefit the individual in pursuing a career outside the United States. The H-3 visa has a validity of 18 months to two years.
